Hello!

NOTE BORROWED IMAGE

Warm wind

I want to do some things in the house myself and have read up and researched about insulating the ceiling myself, and it doesn't seem difficult at all.

Due to my self-supporting rafters, I can't run the PE-Foil straight through without splicing a bit "wildly."

I have tried to search a bit and see what is best.

NOTE FTX unit and external kitchen fan will be in the attic.

Image 1: Insulating the rafter, but the vapor barrier goes up before I install the battens to avoid all the splices? I feel it's not right since I have the FTX unit and external kitchen fan in the attic.

Image 2: There I run the PE-foil straight over all the rafters and splice with tape around all obstacles. Looks ugly but correct?

Image 3: There I insulate, then place the PE-foil on the inside of the rafter so I avoid splicing and just tape along it. After the PE-foil, I insulate the rest hanging towards the rafter?

A good alternative is Thermisol's Klimatvind.

Thanks, but I’ll probably skip that solution.

Anyone?

How did you do?

Insulate and then the foil which is 1.5 wide and then I take the short side and roll from bottom up. Not sideways. This makes it easier to cut the foil so it overlaps on the next side. Looks nice too.

Hello!

I am facing the same problem. Did you possibly take a picture of how the ångspärr turned out later? I don't really understand your description.

Thanks in advance!
