Hello,
Facing an exciting/challenging renovation... I have an old workshop of about 100 square meters that I want to turn into living space. Mostly for summer use, but it would be nice to spend some time there in the winter as well (southern Sweden). It has an uninsulated concrete slab, insulated metal roof, and concrete walls (2 large openings from previous machinery operation that need to be closed up). There is water and electricity installed, but this is old and obviously needs to be redone. Planning to install plumbing for a proper bathroom. I want to do this with reasonable economic means but at the same time avoid unnecessary work that would need to be redone or complemented after a few years. Planning to insulate the exterior with some form of boards and then plaster. Larger windows facing south for passive heating + air source heat pump + larger fireplace. The big question is the slab and floor solution (currently over 3.5 meters to the ceiling). Does anyone have tips, thoughts, or ideas? Grateful for any input.
Best regards,
Lotto
