Hello

In preparation for the upcoming construction of a single garage with an overhead door, I plan to lay a row of 190 mm wide leca blocks on the slab and then build walls with 120x45 studs. These will be mounted on the outer edge of the leca block. This results in the block being 70 mm extra inward compared to the walls. Then comes OSB + gypsum which brings us down to about 45 mm extra. One option is to mount a 45 mm stud before the door is installed. Another option is to replace the two leca blocks at the door with a narrower variant. Which option do you think will be best?

My father-in-law faced the same choice. He chose to add an extra 45 to that wall. He doesn't have either a window or a door on the other gable wall, so you never see that they are different thicknesses. I don't think you would notice it anyway, actually.
