My parents built a Modulent house in 1989, model Lysekil. They don't have the construction drawings, and Modulent can't assist them with any (!).

Anyone with the same house model who has access to drawings? It's about whether a trellis wall is load-bearing and possibly replacing a column with a beam.

The building permit drawings should go quite a long way.

You can also check with this man: http://kn-teknik.se/

Thank you! I've contacted KN-teknik.

Hi!
I see it was two years ago you made the post, but I'll try anyway. My parents have the same house, and I know my dad has the blueprints for it. My dad removed the same trellis and replaced it with a wall. In recent years, he has said he's going to remove the wall and instead put a beam. Did it work out with the trellis for your parents? :D

Hi,

Yes, they contacted kn-teknik and got good construction tips for a few hundred kronor.

The trellis is gone, but the pillar that ends the trellis is load-bearing, so it's still there. Then I think they got the advice to open up the ceiling to screw together the joists (the house is built in modules and there is a joint between these just above the pillar).

If you want to make changes that involve removing the pillar, I can only warmly recommend kn-teknik.

Yes, you mean Kaj Nilsson. Dad worked with him at Modulent, so they know each other well. Dad is also a civil engineer.

Exactly, the pillar is load-bearing. I think dad also mentioned something about opening up the flooring to be able to remove the pillar.

Do you have any photos of your parents' house? It would be fun to see another "similar" house that I grew up in. I have quite a few pictures of my parents'. Dad has expanded and modified it as well, so it's bigger and there are some changes to the layout.
