Hello everyone!

I'm considering building a new computer corner at bar height in an unused corner of my living room.

I was thinking of cutting a "triangle" (to fit the corner) from a countertop or from two wide boards of solid oak or similar and attaching them to the concrete wall with strips or brackets under the board itself.

Do you have any tips on how I should do it to make it look nice? Will solid wood be good, or should I use other types of wood?

I don't want any legs and hope to manage without them since the width of the board won't be too large. The space from the corner to the end of the board is limited to about 62cm as a door comes into play. How high should the board be approximately so that it's comfortable to both stand at the computer and sit on a bar stool?

Thanks for the help!

Hello, and welcome..

That idea should work perfectly well. The choice of materials is hard to comment on without knowing more about the room it will be installed in. A good idea might be to try to make it blend in with the other details.

I would probably choose around 90 cm in height.
