I've started renovating 2 small rooms (hall and WC) in our old cottage, and it's just about 8m2 right now. When I removed the floor in the hall, it turned out there was no insulation at all, and directly under the wooden floor, it was open... No wonder it's been cold there in the winter :D

The plan now is to dig out and re-insulate between the floor joists, but how do I do it the smartest way? My first thought was to just do it like this:

4-Floor chipboard
3-Hasopor (40-60cm)
2-Geotextile
1-Ground

But since Hasopor is relatively expensive in relation to its insulation value, I'm thinking about doing it like this instead:

5-Floor chipboard
4-Cellular plastic
3-Hasopor (20-30cm)
2-Geotextile
1-Ground

Does it cause any issues to lay cellular plastic in the top layer? Hasopor breaks diffusion after 12cm, so anything beyond that is just for insulation, and then I might as well use something that insulates better?
