Hello!
Does anyone know what to consider if you want to install clay boards on an old brick/plaster wall?
It's an old house from 1920 that is being completely renovated.
Do I install studs and screw the boards directly onto them, or do other boards need to be installed before the clay boards are put up?
The brick/plaster wall is very uneven.
Or does anyone have a better suggestion for what I can do with the wall?
Very grateful for all suggestions.

Thanks for the film. If I had understood German, it would have been even better. I suppose then that I cannot put clay boards on my walls without first framing and installing another board.

Yes, I guess I will have to do that, thanks.

Why don't you plaster directly on the wall?

I have thought about that too, but the wall is so uneven, and it would be a lot of work. I considered doing it myself because I received a quote from a mason who wants 75,000 SEK excluding all materials. I thought that was expensive. But I don't think I can do the masonry and apply the mortar as needed. Hence the idea of clay boards.

Seems to be more work to set up those boards than to plaster directly on the wall... In the film, he "fully plasters" with "lera" afterwards?
