We are working on removing "träpanel" from the walls in our staircase. Previous owners have covered a protruding part from the staircase upwards. Does anyone have tips on what flexible material could be used to cover it anew? It will be painted with texture on the concrete further down the staircase, and beadboard will be nailed where there are hollow spaces under the staircase.

  • Wooden paneling on staircase walls with an protruding section.
  • Wood paneling on staircase wall with an angled section protruding from the top.

If it should be painted with a texture like concrete, I would use ROT-gips, it is only 6mm thick and slightly flexible and if you look at your protruding part, it appears to be slightly curved so the gips can bend against it.
