The easiest thing for you is to call your municipality's chimney sweep master on Monday and ask what applies where you live. I did so when I was going to build an interior wall that would connect to a chimney.
There are some basic rules such as combustible material must be at least 10 cm (end grain can touch) from the chimney, being able to inspect the chimney for cracks, etc. But then your municipality may also have certain local fire safety regulations, so give your chimney sweep a ring and check what applies, it doesn't cost anything.
