I have a situation that I would like advice and suggestions on.
We have recently completely renovated our bedroom. Ceiling and walls.
After a couple of months, we discovered water damage. The water damage occurred after a condensation hose had come loose from the heat pump.
The moisture is now restored, dry, and resolved.
The ceiling is a white mottled click ceiling. The panels have bulged around the old water damage. Only at the outer edges is it okay.
My question is, do we need to tear down the ceiling (and the wallpaper will be ruined) or can we screw up the ceiling or tension the ceiling? Of course, the ceiling needs to be repainted.
But how can one proceed?
Grateful for answers
Depends on the material? If it's like some fibermaterial then they probably absorb water and swell, making it difficult to backtrack. In that case, replacing the damaged sections is the only solution. Or wait and see if it returns somewhat to normal once dried, and then just paint.
