Hello
We are planning to install a fireplace. As you can see in the picture, the plan is to shorten the wall by the portion that is marked. The house has an uninsulated slab with a raised floor (aware of the issues with the construction). The idea is to open a hole in the floor (about 1 m2) and pour a foundation of EPS concrete and then lay tiles. The advantage is that we can install the fireplace before we change the floor, and if in the future we need to redo the entire foundation, we won't need to move the fireplace.
Any thoughts on these ideas?

How heavy a fireplace should you have? When you say stove, I imagine something weighing under 200 kg. If that is the case, I think the easiest solution would be to just place it on the existing floor and then move it when/if it's time to redo the rest of the floor. However, if it's a heavy fireplace, it sounds like a good idea to do as you describe.
