Hello!
Is it necessary to have any type of moisture barrier behind a cast reinforced concrete retaining wall behind which it will be backfilled with mostly planting soil for trees? Drainage is by pipes in gravel at the bottom behind the wall.
The wall is proposed to be 140 cm high and 15 cm thick.
The wall is anchored with iron rods in holes drilled into the rock on which the wall stands.
Does the wall also need to be anchored horizontally in the sloping rock face behind the (1.5m) wall?
Should some sort of foundation be built?
