I'm working on a boat and have made openings for shelves in a 12mm plywood board. I wanted to place an edging in rubber/plastic around the openings but I'm going crazy because I can't find one that grips over 12mm. I only find the usual rubber strips that grip up to about 5mm. I found one that grips up to 9mm at a company, but that's not enough. I think it should exist but I can't find it. I have googled, checked with boat accessory companies, and with Kuntze www.kuntze.se but no one has it. Does anyone have tips on where it might be available? I uploaded a picture, hope it worked.

Building plastic used to have lists galore, they're called seasea now, and maybe they've trimmed their range, what do I know. But they, or hjertmans, or viking yachting, or erlandsons brygga or benn's mast. Somewhere there you should still be able to have success, I think.
Sure enough, hit on the first try, here's one at hjertmans that grips 12mm precisely.

How could you miss that?

I've actually checked the boat accessory catalogs. What you found is a rub rail, it's bigger and can't be bent as tightly. I'm actually looking for a soft interior trim. But thanks anyway for showing interest.
