I borrowed a disc sander from a kind neighbor to remove the concrete skin from a newly made concrete slab before it's painted with floor paint. Not this year's model, but it worked and did what needed to be done.
It had large papers that looked just like those for the Flex ceiling-giraffe with fuzz on the back that you attach to a plastic plate with lots of small pegs.
Now my problem - when I plan to return it, I thought I would replace all the papers I've used up, but I can't find them anywhere. I've been to many places, surfed the web, and called around.
It seems to be some standard diameter used on such machines where I find an array of polishing pads but no sandpapers.
Any tips are greatly appreciated so I can return the machine with new papers.
Should be available for order at better building material stores. They are also available for purchase at rental companies such as Cramo. You can also check if you can buy from a company that specializes in floor sanding.
Thank you for taking the time to answer. I've been to 10 different rental places, including Cramo, but now they all have square machines. "We've stopped with those" is the most common response. I've also been to all the major building supply chains and several different flooring companies. Then I got tired of the "car orientation" and started searching the internet and have called 10 more places that dealt with similar machines - but no luck.
Annoying, I saw them this week at Wangen skog (formerly hyreslandslaget). I've worked with such a machine myself as a floor installer, but that was in the Netherlands so these contacts aren't much help.
Have you asked the owner of the machine?
I asked the owner and he had bought the papers from a cleaning wholesaler in Årsta but even they had stopped with this when I contacted them.
I will check your tips tomorrow when it's possible to call.
Thanks
After an intensive online search, I have found the product itself online. The papers are manufactured in Germany and can be ordered online in 10-pack. This works if I don't find anyone who has them in Sweden.
