The guest bathroom is tiled, side rails installed in a small niche where a board with a recessed sink will be placed. Previously, I considered a Minerit board - but for practical reasons, I thought I'd ask you if there is any justification (i.e., whether the construction holds) for this solution =

A regular countertop (e.g., pine) to which the sink is attached. Then a carefully shaped gypsum board around the sink from above, screwed into the countertop. Moisture barrier on the gypsum board, then flexible adhesive and glass mosaic tiles around the sink?

The edges against the wall and sink will, of course, be carefully sealed with silicone.

Many thanks in advance

Yes, it should work. But the plasterboard must be carefully sealed on all cut surfaces and sides.

Thanks Jon! I'll go with that solution - and I won't skimp on the moisture barrier.....:-)

Many Kind Regards
Jörgen
