We have had windows installed and one of them has a large gap as follows:

Is it possible to adjust this? Does anyone have instructions? The craftsman was not aware of any.

What did it look like before assembly? From what I can see in the other pictures, there doesn't appear to be any noticeable gap on the inside. However, there is a risk that the aluminum cladding was moved during assembly (when the other metal cladding was done).
On all wooden windows with aluminum cladding, the aluminum cladding is more or less movable, but never completely fixed. On an openable window, the cladding consists of two completely separate parts, and in your case, it seems that the part around the frame has shifted out of position, causing you to see a large gap between the frame and the sash at the top.

Use a spirit level and also a cross measure to know if the frame is in the correct position. If the frame is correct, you should be able to adjust it using the hinges. If the frame is incorrect, you'll need to remove it and start from scratch.
If the hole is crooked and the window frame is too large to align it straight, you'll need to chisel out or sand down the stones around it to get clearance between the hole and the frame.
