Can I tear down the wall?

Hello!

I'm renovating the kitchen and considering taking down a section of a wall to open it up more towards the living room!
Can I take down this wall? I'm only planning to remove about 60cm (see image 1 and 2).

Then another question, do I need to plastic wrap the ceiling?

Maybe I was a bit unclear now that I think about it, but I think I might have a drawing of the kåk somewhere! I'll find it tomorrow!
