Hello.

I'm wondering if there's someone who can help.

I need to take down a wall made of lättbetong (easy to drill through).
The house was built in 1944.
The wall is 10cm thick. Need to remove 60cm in width.
The walls that run "through" the apartment are 20cm thick.

It feels like there shouldn't be any problem. There are no electrical or water lines in the wall.
Do I need to bring in a technician to ensure this?

Here are the original blueprints with markings of what needs to be done.

Blueprint of a 1944 house showing wall thicknesses, including a marked light concrete wall section planned for partial removal, with no present utilities. Blueprint of a 1944 house floor plan with highlighted areas for sliding door, wall demolition, and opening, showcasing room arrangements.

Very grateful for any help.

Best regards / Anton

Just to clarify.
There is already an opening and a sliding door. The sliding door should be removed.

Yes, you can tear it down. In the upper drawing, you can see the walls that are load-bearing.

If it is an apartment, approval is usually required.

Thank you for the quick response, Matti and Stefan.
Then I can take it up with the association and not look like an idiot.

A housing cooperative normally does not have the right to interfere if a non-load-bearing wall is taken down.

It's them who own it...

It is governed by legislation.
