Hello guys!
It's soon time for the roof raising, so I need to know the length and height of the roof halves.
Example: Horizontal cathetus is three meters and the outer angle is 23 degrees. How long are the vertical cathetus and the hypotenuse?
How do I calculate that?

Kind regards, Staffan

Vertical catheter = 3*tan23 = 1.27 m
Hypotenuse = 3/cos23 = 3.26 m

To calculate the catheter x

tan 23 = x / 3
=> x = 0.424275 * 3
=> x = 1.273425 m

Hypotenuse / y:

katet2 + katet2 = hypotenusa2
=> (3*3) + (1.27*1.27) = y2
=> y2 = 10.6129
=> y = 3.257653 m

Thanks for the answers.
Unfortunately, it's mathematics far beyond my level. I'll have to get back when I have the exact measurement. Is there possibly a program where I can fill in the known values and sim salabim?

A catheter is inserted by uncle doctor into one's trunk, the two right-angled sides of a right-angled triangle are called a katet, the katet :)

Thank you, both for the mathematical calculations and the appropriate link, and not least for the "kateten".

A katet – several kateter …
So the right-angled triangle does, after all, have two kateter.

So the right-angled triangle actually has two kateter.
Two katetrar?

Two catheters?
It's rare for a doctor to use two catheters simultaneously on the same patient …

I was thinking about the triangle now :-)

Oh yes.

When I was in for surgery in the "basement" I got one catheter in the humhum and one directly into the abdominal cavity.
But perhaps you euphemistically refer to the latter as "drainage"?

You can have "lots" of different catheters... KAD, PVK, CVK, CDK. Etc. Did anyone get any wiser? :)

No. But you just wanted to impress, I understand :)

No, not in the slightest :D.
In cycling it's becoming more and more popular with tubeless - wouldn't that be practical in the medical world as well?
