It's time to get windows for the renovation, and we've decided that it won't be Polish plastic junk in this house either, but real windows with frame and sash in wood and, of course, triple glazing, preferably with aluminum on the outside for reduced maintenance. Which manufacturer and retailer are recommended? The windows should be able to turn the outside in for cleaning, as my partner has decided. This means the handle should be at the bottom, opening from the bottom, and able to rotate after releasing a latch. Suggestions are welcome.

I have Elitfönster that meet your specs. They look like brand new after 8-10 years.

The choice was not based on exhaustive comparisons but Småland local patriotism when it started, and then out of symmetry :)

Did they have Småland prices as well?

I previously lived in Småland for 24 years but moved back to Skåne 20 years ago....

Don't know if the price differs that much on comparable windows, but they were probably more expensive than cheap.

Elitfönster has aluminum-clad ones on both vacation homes and residential houses. The oldest are 12 years old and still have no problems, regular white with several fully glazed single/double doors.
I haven't done the replacement myself.

Working with site-built houses and want to highlight Elitfönster as number 1 among wooden windows and wood-aluminum windows...

Here on the west coast, I've mostly worked with H-windows. Easy to install, I think, and they have your spec. Wood on the inside and aluminum on the outside. Or rather, half of the frame is aluminum, so they're not just clad with aluminum. In my opinion, a good construction if you want minimal maintenance. In one of our houses with an extremely exposed location, they're just like when I installed them 8 years ago. Only lubricated the moving parts and rinsed the outside.

A follow-up question regarding the window purchase.
I am considering installing an FTX if it’s not too troublesome, could it be negative if I have bought windows with trickle vents then? It concerns the bedroom.
Do other spaces need trickle vents if I don't install an FTX?
New windows are to be for the bedroom, bathroom, and a hallway/living area on the upper floor.

I have windows (wood inside/aluminum outside) from villafonster.se in all the houses, the oldest windows are 10-12 years old now and still look like new. Didn't hesitate for a second last year when it was time to buy windows for the new build.
