has anyone bought lumber for a sauna in the Gothenburg area and can recommend a place?
I'm looking for reasonable prices on sauna paneling in aspen or abachi and benches in aspen or abachi. Alder is also interesting but seems to be rare in Sweden.

Asp and alder can be found at hardwood sawmills in Sweden. Check under suppliers at www.lovtrainstitutet.se The sawmills can usually supply dried, sawn, and planed timber at good prices. The distance (freight) matters less since most building material suppliers do not normally stock these types of wood. Alder (black alder) is not hard to find.

They also have aspen and birch paneling as well as lathwood. Why anyone would choose birch for a sauna and burn themselves, I do not know
