Buy 6 months for outdoor stairs?

Hello!

We are planning to expand this fall and that's when the stairs to the entrance will go. The stairs seem to have realized this and have therefore* started to fall apart quickly. Ideally, I wouldn't want to do anything, but since people are slipping and falling on it, something needs to be done. What's the easiest solution? Repair mortar? Some decking over it? Other ideas?

I had "dressed" the steps with decking.
Faster than nice! =)
