I see that the special MFT/3 tables for Festool plunge saws cost a small fortune.
At the same time, I see that loose hole plates are sold for 1/5 of the table price.
Is there any advantage to making your own table for the plunge saw based on the plate and clamping accessories, or are the table's side details necessary to use the saw/rail?
I plan to start by cutting parts for various sizes of window casings.
