Hello!
A total beginner's question. I'm going to build a cross table and I am having trouble finding a glulam beam in the dimensions I want (42*90 cm). Is it okay to use a construction rule instead for the legs? Thinking 70*70 mm like the one below. Will this be stable enough? The tabletop is oak and 202*90 cm and weighs 20 kilos.

One more question; I would like the table legs to be removable for easier transportation. What type of screw do you recommend for that?

The smallest dimension for glulam is usually 42x180 mm. The building rule in the example is made of spruce and isn't particularly suitable for your oak table. Instead, look at planed wood, which is usually found along with moldings and similar items. 33x95 mm pine should work. There is also planed oak. Oak is moreover stiffer than pine. There won't be large loads on these legs. Some form of carriage bolt might be suitable for screwing the crosses together. Keep in mind that the upper parts of the cross need to be joined in some way for it to hold. The crosses need to be set in a bit under the tabletop to prevent too much flexing in the middle.
