we are adding an extension and will likely have a partial basement. Additionally, we will have two levels (half floors) in the living area. This means we will have 2 levels on the slab and a cast intermediate floor.
Is it possible to build up the basement walls and then cast the slab to avoid casting (with a pump truck) on so many occasions, or is it unwise?

The walls must stand on something, if this can be arranged in a good way then OK.
I would arrange for the pump truck to do the first pouring in the afternoon and continue the next morning, hoping it will only be an establishment cost.
