Any tips on how to achieve a nice and stable arch indoors?

I plan to clad one side of the wall and inside the arch with flat brick.

The problem is how to achieve the "U-shape" - can I use 6mm gypsum and bend it as much as I need?

Hmm...

use grooved MDF. it turns out great when you bend it.

OK thanks! But where do you find tracked MDF? I don't remember seeing it before, is it a special item? Can you place bricks directly on it or should I also use plasterboard?

Under bathroom, mathiass has described in a thread how he achieves a round window.
Look there for tips.

I am in great need of flat bricks but don't know what they are or where to get them! I am very grateful for quick answers :)

Decorative bricks can be obtained from a larger building supply store...

Okay.. is it the same thing, can you mention any major builders' merchant? I'm new to "do it yourself" so I don't have much of a clue :)

well... there is Hornbach and Bauhaus which I know have these in different forms. Go to the tiles section and ask them.

Don't know how it is with Silvan, Beijer Bygg, Byggmax etc...
