Hello, we have a large family room in our basement. We would like to divide the room and build a new interior wall with a sliding door. The floor is concrete with waterborne underfloor heating, and the ceiling is wood. Is it enough to glue the floor stud and nail the ceiling stud? Grateful for input.
Double-sided tape under the floor strip and then good fastening on the other three sides usually works.
If you are going to glue or tape the rule, my recommendation is to prime the concrete with primer for e.g., self-leveling compound beforehand to increase adhesion.
