I have a gable exterior wall in the workshop that is in quite poor condition with large cracks and bad windows. Additionally, there's an apartment built on top. This gable is very exposed to wind and weather...

I have a lot of 15cm leca + mortar and plaster left over from an extension.

I'm considering building a new inner wall flush against the old exterior wall. I will also brick up all the windows in the exterior wall.

What should I think about? Will the construction even be stronger if I build a new wall to "support" from the inside?

Basement interior with cracked concrete walls, boarded windows, and wooden support beams; context of renovating outer workshop wall with leca blocks.

Really no opinions?

Hello Novice Fixer!

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer, but I actually have the same problem as you. So I am also very interested to see where this thread might lead.

Please update us on how it goes!

Good luck,
