I have a narrow chimney made of isokern blocks that looks small in relation to the house. Therefore, I want to widen/enlarge the chimney. Anyone have tips on materials? Preferably something light that can be rendered.

Brick is a natural choice if you want the stone to be visible (limestone I do not recommend).
Otherwise, you can use regular Leca blocks. They are also available in 9x19x59 cm, which you can stand on their edge, so it builds up 9-10 cm around. Super easy to build with and great for plastering afterwards.
Available in 7cm thickness too..
