Maybe similar to Elefantmatta, a very hard Rockwool.
Where in the casting are you going to have it if so.

The downside of Elefantmatta is that it absorbs moisture/water and then provides "no" insulation.
What is recommended today is foam board with closed cells (polystyrene/ground board) that does not absorb moisture, has high load-bearing capacity, and offers good insulation.
Now, Bisonmatta might be something different.

According to Google, tram-safe fiberglass-reinforced plastic mat. Didn't find any images, though, with the first quick search.
EPS - i.e., polystyrene, also becomes water-saturated, at which point its insulation value plummets.prototypen said:The downside of Elefantmatta is that it absorbs moisture/water and then it insulates "nothing."

Strange that the construction industry says the opposite, but now there are 2 different types of "styrofoam", the ground board with closed cells does not absorb water.
If anyone has a different opinion, please provide a link to a report or a data sheet.

Exactly, but who sells it and what are its properties...norrbottenstorpet said:
Bison exists as a brand, but at their retailers, I only find different kinds of vapor barriers and wind barriers.
Water-saturated styrofoam sounds strange, it has been used as a floatation element in floating docks and all sorts of other applications for as long as I can remember. It shouldn't work if it can become water-saturated.

"Regular" styrofoam absorbs little water but not ground plate.
