Hello!

I have bought a house that has a type of sunroom with six narrow and tall windows. The solution made between the windows doesn't look good. There is a high risk that the wood will absorb water and rot.
Now I would like to ask how to solve this in a better way.
The distance between the windows is about 40 cm.
See photo.
Thanks in advance, Anders

Isn't it possible to install a window sill that prevents water from running into the gap?

How so?

Maybe not a window sill but a flashing, or some other metal detail that directs the water away from the horizontal board in the same way as at the window. You might have to cut a groove in the wood or seal against the trim with silicone so it fits tightly against the wood.

It looks like the underlying window sill (u fönsterblecken) protrudes a few centimeters beyond the vertical trims?
If so: can you bevel the list at the top and possibly seal it with outdoor sealant?

That doesn't sound so bad!
What should one seal with?
What stays soft and doesn't shrink?

E.g., tomhus fogmassa. Handles a bit more movement than the indoor counterpart.

Just a thought from the air.
You have another concern, and that is that the cladding boards end against a horizontal board, where water gets in, and you will likely have damage there as well.
I see in the pictures that you have (sorry) quite ugly window sills.
I would have replaced these and had a continuous long sill that goes all the way, and then you'll have a natural drainage where you have problems today.
