Hi!
I am going to apply water glass k12 on my outdoor concrete floor. You should first dilute it 1:5, then 1:4, 1:3, 1:2, and maybe 1:1 if it hasn't already become saturated.
I can imagine that the first coat at 1:5 will absorb a lot, and therefore I'm wondering what method would work best to apply/spread the water glass? Is it to pour it out and then distribute it with a broom, or should you roll it out? Or should you use a pressure sprayer?
Is there anyone with experience with Water glass k12?

Pressure sprayer. Adjust the nozzle for a coarser spray, not mist.

Okay, yes that should be convenient. What is the consistency when you get down to a 1:2 - 1:1 mixture? Is it still like water or does it get a bit thicker?

A bit thicker, but it's nothing that affects the application. However, you should probably apply it when it's cool and windless so it doesn't dry out too quickly or blow away. The solution should penetrate into the pores and make the concrete more or less waterproof. If you still get small puddles, a regular broom can be useful to spread out the liquid.

Yes, you might be right, thanks for the tips.
