I usually never skew nail noggings between the studs, if I am going to have such. Either I place them two inches above/below each other, to be able to nail through the studs. Alternatively, I nail through one of the studs and place a small bracket on the opposite side.
The storage should be uninsulated, and in order to keep within the outer dimensions of a "friggebod" and still maximize the interior area, there have to be noggings between the standing wall studs. 35 mm battens around would mean that I exceed 15 sqm.
The thought has crossed my mind, but it will be visible from the outside even with painted paneling... nah, it's better for it to be a bit tricky to make it look good.
But it is the 15 sqm ground area that counts. You don’t include the outer measurements of the walls.
I believe you have to include the roof if the eaves are too long.
Cut out in the standing wall studs? And how does that affect the strength?
Negligible if you don't cut out too much, it should fit tight. The easiest way is to clamp several standing studs together, then use a circular saw through all of them at once and chisel away the wood with a chisel.
I understand, so like cut someone a few mm too narrow and hammer them in? I was planning to use 95-reglar for both the vertical studs and the noggings in between, so I'll have to cut the noggings as well then. Unnecessarily thick maybe, it would have been easier to fit in 45-reglar, but oh well... we'll see.
If you place every other kortling 1 centimeter lower, you can drive the nail from the "backside" rule at an almost right angle and at the same time nail the facade in a line.
To nail the standing rules into the laying one, I would temporarily place a rulebit with support against the latest nailed rule and then drive one (or two) nails on the "free" side, then remove the rulebit and nail the other side. Then continue with the next. Just make sure you maintain cc60 all the way.
