Building a balcony and have just laid the roofing felt (which will be under the balcony).

Do I need something like sill paper between the joists and the roofing felt, or will the joists be fine without it? The joists are pressure-treated.

Grateful for any responses.

Hello. No, you don't need to put anything between the ceiling and the beam. Just keep in mind that the water should be able to drain away if you're framing over the slope's direction. And A-rated timber is preferable for the beams. Otherwise, you can place plastic wedges underneath so that the beams won't have to stand in moisture.

Roofing felt and sill tape are basically the same thing, so as mentioned, it's not necessary.

Thank you so much for the answers! I have class A on the studs and plan to set them in the direction of the slope.
