We ordered baseboards that are to be glued together in height in three parts. The bottom and top parts are made of pine and the middle piece is MDF.
We used alkyd primer (oil-based) from Droppen as it was supposed to be water-resistant.
The craftsman who was going to glue the boards together and put them up now claims that no glue adheres to oil-based primer.
Is that really true? Does anyone know a glue that we can use?

The normal thing is probably to glue before painting regardless.

If the paint is dry, then mounting adhesive will work, but not white glue/wood glue.
