I need to attach smooth-surfaced spruce directly to a plastered/rough-cast Lecawall indoors. The appearance should be "rustic" and on most of the walls and ceiling, I am using 50x2.8 galvanized wire nails that are visibly driven in from the front side.

I initially considered using 5x50 spike plugs, but I don't really like the head that remains. It doesn't seem to hold completely tight either. As an alternative, I considered using wire nails with PL400 behind them. However, the plaster is very porous and I assume the glue will come off the plaster. Is it worth impregnating the plaster with waterglass first?

The panel is held in place at the bottom by a quarter round molding attached to wood-

You don't have space for a nail batten (makes it easier for electricity/telecom/lan etc.) behind the panel?

Can strongly recommend this "plug" for the nail batten:

No space for battens, unfortunately. It's for aesthetic reasons that I want to make it as shallow as possible. The Lecawall aligns with the wooden studs where the panel will be attached.

Perfect plug, seems much better than regular nail plug as mentioned. Thanks for the tip! Can't find a reseller in the Gothenburg area, but it can be ordered directly.

is it not possible to cut/mill out and then countersink a spikläkt in lecablock

Sure, it's possible, but I don't have the energy!
