Attaching sliding door track to concrete slab
Hello!
I'm renovating the hallway at home and have reached the point where the new sliding doors need to be installed, and the bottom track will be placed directly against the concrete slab but, I have hydronic underfloor heating in the foundation, so I'm a bit afraid I might accidentally drill into one of the loops. Can one guess approximately how deep they might be? The plan was to use 35mm plugs. Is there any other better "attachment method"? I considered double-sided tape, but how well does it really adhere to concrete?
(hope this thread is somewhat in the right place)
Thanks

A good double-sided tape should suffice, but aren't you going to have another floor on the concrete? Normally the track should be on the finished floor; otherwise it might look strange if the floor is thicker than the track for the sliding doors, depending on the type, of course. You should absolutely NOT drill into the floor.
no it gives a more rustic feel without the flooring
just kidding, there will be tile flooring in front and behind the trim. or at least that's the idea, mainly because the doors are custom made that way. unsure if the doors will fit on top of the flooring.
the old doors (which the previous owners installed) were screwed into the concrete but they were actually just fixed to the vinyl flooring underneath
