Hello,
We have a sunroom where 45x95 joists have been placed directly against the paving stones (regular garden slabs) with small angle irons. A wall has then been built on the joist that goes up to the roof truss in the sunroom.
The joist needs to be replaced due to moisture, and the new joist will be placed on some sort of roofing felt to avoid moisture problems in the future. But how do you attach the joist to the paving stone? We can't access the angle irons as done previously. Can you screw directly into the joist, through the roofing felt, and further down into the paving stone? I suspect that a CC of 60 is sufficient for the screws.
