Attaching an awning to brick facade

we are going to set up a canopy above the entrance of our brick house that was built in the early '60s.

What type of wall fasteners should we use?
The brick is not the load-bearing part; it's built with some type of concrete stone.

Drill a hole, insert a plug, screw it in with a screw, I think that would work fine?

Facade plug, then it will definitely hold, find out how thick the wall is and choose a length of the facade plug that is a few cm shorter than the wall's thickness. Then the whole family can sit up on the screen roof.
