Hello.
I have gone through a lot of threads here but still am not entirely sure about my plan for the upcoming project.
We are going to build a built-in bookshelf according to the drawing below. The idea is to use IKEA's Eket as cabinet doors at the bottom and then build the remaining part in 19mm MDF. The shelves will be 70cm wide and 35cm deep. We want the fastenings to be invisible and wonder how we can achieve that. We won't be able to screw all the shelves from the side since there will already be another shelf on the corresponding side.
Any tips and ideas? How concerned should I be about the strength of the MDF if I screw into it from the side? Should we consider Plywood instead?
Grateful for answers.

Glue and a Pocket Hole jig should solve your problem
