Attach Ikea Bestå (cabinet) to concrete wall
Hello!
I am going to mount an Ikea Bestå (120x42x38 cm) on a concrete wall.
https://www.ikea.com/se/sv/p/besta-hylla-med-doerrar-vit-lappviken-vit-s79047429/
Without contents, it weighs around 16 kg, and then with some items, easily another 5 kg.
I obviously need to drill and plug, but how large do the screws need to be to hold up?
If it will have 4 attachment points, will that be enough?
Ikea also sells a screw and plug set that I happen to have on hand and have used before.
(Fixa, https://www.ikea.com/se/sv/p/fixa-skruv-och-pluggset-260-delar-00169249/).
Are the screws I need included there?
Contents (size: diam. x length):
Screws with round head; 5x60 mm, 4.5x50 mm, 4x40 mm, 3.5x35 mm, 3.5x30 mm.
Screws with countersunk head; 5x60 mm, 4.5x50 mm, 4x40 mm, 3.5x35 mm, 3.5x30 mm.
Universal plugs; 8x51 mm, 6x36 mm, 5x31 mm, 20 pcs of each.

Curious about tips on this! We also want to hang up our 128cm frame but Ikea advises against it and only recommends hanging the 64-frame using their wall rail.
I would guess that it refers to a wall rail =)
For the thread starter, your 5x60 screws should work fine for this project if you use 4 per cabinet, but it depends a bit on how far the screw goes into the wall.
Generally, when I put up cabinets and shelves, a minimum of 6mm screws are usually used, because it's better to have a little extra margin for what a screw can handle.
But as I said, I think you can use your screws without any problem, as long as they go about 50mm into the wall. There won't be any twisting for the screws since it's a concrete wall, and as long as most of the screw is in the wall, it can handle a lot of weight. For these screws, use 8mm plugs.
