Why not use the thread instead of plugging it?
What does the mounting on the infrared heater look like?

Something like that maybe?

I had pulled on an M16 lifting eye and let it sit there. Then you can freely choose what you want to hang on it.
E.g. https://www.ahlsell.se/10/forvaring...ch-tillbehor-handelskvalitet/119188-57d21f2e/
Edit: Just saw now that I was second on that. Read the posts a bit too quickly.

Just thread in an M16 lifting eye with pin:
https://www.biltema.se/bygg/fastelement/specialskruvar/ogla-2000040773
Didn't find one at Biltema with pin/bolt, only with nut, but the principle is the same, except you can thread directly into the balcony, and then you could hang a car from the ceiling if you wish
)
Should be available at all retailers specializing in tools. Wurth, Ahlsells, Swedol, etc. It might be found at Biltema, Jula, Bauhaus, and similar stores.
If you fail to find one, you can buy a threaded rod and cut it to the appropriate length, but that assumes you have, for example, a hacksaw to cut the rod with.
*if the previous one was second, then apparently I was third*

What size was your lifting eye with pin?
Where did you buy it? Unfortunately, I can't search with the link.
