I am planning to build a conservatory and attach a glulam beam to the eaves where the roof beams will be attached. I intend to screw the glulam through a 22mm plank and into the house's roof truss with 6x150mm screws, maybe 4 or 5 of them. Does this seem like a secure attachment since the entire roof's weight rests on these screws?? There will be maybe 7 screw joints with 4 or 5 screws in each. The roof is supported at the ends by the rest of the frame construction.
