We are going to attach a ceiling track from Elfa to the ceiling with three attachment points. Made the mistake of drilling and screwing the track to the ceiling only to discover that the screws just spun.

When I felt in the holes, I noticed that it was about 4.5 cm up to the insulation in two of the three holes. In the third, I encountered something hard that I hope is a beam.

The ceiling track should hold two doors weighing about 15 kg each in place along with a floor track. The doors don't hang from the track; it just keeps them in place.

How should I attach the ceiling track where there is only drywall?

I am considering using these screws:
A mounting screw with a flat head and a sharp tip, suitable for installation in wood or steel surfaces, displayed from a Swedish home improvement store.
Here is the track and the holes. The holes are 5 mm
Metallic head rail with three holes, shown on a wooden floor. Used for securing doors with ceiling and floor tracks in a renovation project.

Grateful for any input!

Thanks for the tip! That seems to be what I need.

I went up to the attic to take a look, and when I lift the insulation there, there's some kind of panel underneath. Is it an option to try using a long enough screw in that material? Or is it just as well to use a molly screw directly?

if it's a wooden board, first try with a wood screw
