Assemble four cinder blocks?

What is the best and easiest way to stack four lecablock standing on top of each other?

I was thinking maybe to drill holes in them and slide them onto a rod of some suitable material.

Will they only have support against the floor? Like a column? Are they meant to be loaded?

I will use them as legs for my future computer/workbench, but the studs in the wall will also do their part.
