Hello!
Could this be asbestos? Floor tiles found in a corner of the kitchen, where something likely generating heat had stood as there was some burning on the surrounding walls.
Old floor tile found in kitchen corner, possibly asbestos, with heat marks on nearby walls. Grey, worn tile with some stains shown on a windowsill.
I think they resemble floor tiles described on the eco-building portal as asbestos:
Old gray floor tiles with a subtle linear pattern in a kitchen corner, possibly containing asbestos, near a wall with slight burn marks.

There may be asbestos in that type of tiles and/or in the adhesive, but if you want to be sure, you should send a sample for analysis.

Yes, those are most likely asbestos floor tiles. Asbestos, by the way, is an extremely good reinforcing and heat-insulating material. The hysteria arose because the dust in the eternit factory, along with the then popular smoking, led to lung cancer. My father worked as a plumber for 50 years and handled asbestos in pipe insulation and the obvious asbestos board as protection against underlying materials during welding and soldering. He also smoked for 20 years but is still in good health having just turned 88, apart from worn-out shoulders, of course, from all the carrying, crawling, threading, etc. So sure, there's certainly asbestos in the tiles, but it's just a matter of removing them and taking them to recycling or leaving them be.

So sure, there is definitely asbestos in the tiles, but it's probably just a matter of removing them and taking them to recycling or leaving them in place.
Thanks for the reply! We sent in samples for analysis, but they arrived after a bit more demolition. Then we'll remove them and take them to the recycling center as asbestos! (y)

Looks like classic asbestos vinyl flooring, also the application of black glue might contain asbestos. As previously responders have described. If you want to know if a material contains asbestos, you send it for analysis.

We assumed it was that, so we didn't feel the need to send a sample (we had already sent away a bunch of samples just before we found these). Plus, they were lying loose on the floor (under old kitchen fixtures), so they were probably installed elsewhere before and weren't glued now.
