Hello,

I need to attach a countertop to a dresser. But sometimes I would need to separate the tabletop from the dresser (e.g., when I need to clean the windows).

I thought there should be angle brackets with a pin that can be removed when needed, thus separating the countertop from the dresser. But I can't find any.

Does anyone know where I can find this?
Or suggestions for another solution?

Thanks!

Thank you!
Kansas angle bracket with wing nut and a threaded rod that you attach everything with?

Yes, that could be a solution!
Had hoped/thought that there was a ready-made solution instead ...

Hello,

Yes, those are clever... However, I would need one that allows the desk to be detached completely from the bureau occasionally.
The optimal solution would be a hinge where you can remove the pin in between so that both hinge parts are separated - and thus also the desk and bureau. Then it's easy to reattach them. The desktop I have is just over 2 meters long, so there isn't room to tilt it down.

A slightly over 2m long tabletop about 60 cm wide is quite heavy to stand and juggle with, you need to screw the dresser to the wall otherwise it will tip forward towards you.

Ah, I envisioned something much smaller, more like a little sideboard.

Common hinges usually consist of a pin, right??

I have not found any that can be separated when it is screwed into the respective sides, i.e., that you should be able to remove the pin as well. Does it exist?

Otherwise, many common hinges for things like doors and windows... then you can also "hang on" the board?

Just as an example..
Hi,
Can the pin be removed when it's fastened to the dresser and the countertop? I can't quite see it.

The pin is riveted/deformed, but if you file away the deformation on one end, the pin can be removed.

Yes, that's what you have to do in that case. Had hoped there was a ready-made version....
Is there not?
