My 14.4 PRO lithium 1.5 has died.
Two batteries but no charging.

Where should I start?

New battery?
New charger?
Or is it the screwdriver itself that is finished?

- older model bought at Jula 6 years ago. Wonderful machine.

Orange AEG 14.4V PRO lithium-ion cordless drill with battery on a workbench, surrounded by tools and accessories in a workshop setting. help please!

You can start by measuring if the charger is providing any voltage.

Measure the voltage on the batteries.

Hmm. Don't have a voltmeter? Where do I check that?

Buy, borrow, take to a service workshop, electrician, etc. You get to choose based on your circumstances.

Thank you for the help

Jula, Classe, Biltema, etc. have multimeters for a couple of hundred kronor that work fine for this.

Do the batteries have charge indicators? If so, what do they show?

I have the same screwdriver manufactured in 2011 that just keeps working, except the batteries have broken... I thought it was the charger once, so I bought a new one, but it turned out to be the battery that time too...

Yellow on the battery. The charger has a solid red light on one lamp and a flashing green light on the other lamp.

3 choices now...... no, 4:

-batterie
-Laddare
-spänningsmätare
-Tippen

Sure, the batteries probably don't last anymore, it usually doesn't pay off to buy new batteries. Costs as much as a new machine. 14 volts aren't so common today.

Recycling center feels a bit sad..

Go to a place that sells AEG and test a different battery. That way you'll also find out how much a new one costs.
