Hello,
Today I bought a pallet of plasterboards at Hornbach for mounting by gluing on the walls in my living room and dining room. The surface where the boards will be glued is old plaster.

I’m a bit unsure about the glue/mortar for this purpose.
One of the staff said that regular plaster mortar like Rotband works well for this purpose.
Another said that it isn’t 100% and that Casco Boardfix is better since it’s intended for this purpose. However, it is significantly more expensive than the plaster mortar.

Can anyone shed some light on what works and what doesn’t?

Thank you very much in advance!

Tile adhesive works well.

I have successfully used Gypsum Naturgips/plaster finish on the advice of the drywall manufacturers when I attached drywall to plaster. (I asked both Norgips and Weber/StGobain)

Gypsum plaster probably works well, but nothing sticks like tile adhesive; when nothing else works (such as form oil remaining on the surface), you apply a thin layer of adhesive, and then when it has dried, you can proceed with plaster, for example.
