90mm machine nail 45x70?

I have seen that 4" (100mm) nails are recommended for 45s.
Is 90mm machine nails too weak?

It's for new battens that will lie directly on the rafters.

Considering buying a Dewalt DCN692 for this and panel replacement. The reason for the Dewalt machine is because I have their series of other machines, but if anyone thinks it's an inappropriate machine for any reason, please say so

That's enough, make sure the nail goes in a few mm into the wood.

It is easy to adjust the depth of the nail, just pull it in a few mm and it will definitely hold.

And when you then nail the panel, make sure to adjust the depth again so they don't go in too deep...
